Thanks for writing this. I'm currently in the situation were I know that it's all random success failure, I know it can be engineered in my favour. But I'm confused how and what should I do to make it in my favour.
The thing about all the psychological things you mentioned above is that while reading I was like hmm I know this, ok I knew this as well. But I know all the problems not their answers. All the psychologist say about envy, jealousy, and all the generic stuff and not the applicable things to do to avoid it.
I've been mulling over the same ideas for quite some time but haven't ever gotten to writing them down. Reading this made me feel validated and understood.
While most of the ideas are very articulate, I wasn't quite clear about the difference between jealousy and envy.
Well, I still envy your writing and clarity of mind, senpai
worth mentioning this particular post has ideas of 3-4 people.

Hey Sankalp, Thanks for writing this!

Is it..
jealousy = persistent low-intensity "bad" feelings
envy = transitory high-intensity "bad" feelings?
you feel jealousy when you think you are about to lose something to someone
envy is when you don't already have that thing, like a friend getting more marks than you always.
